We are sorry to say the Pioneer Elite basketball program and its relationship as the Kirkwood feeder program has ended.
It has been a fun and rewarding 13-year run for the Pioneer Elite Basketball program. It has been our pleasure to build relationships with families in the Kirkwood community as we helped young boys develop and grow throughout their elementary, middle, and high school years. We started with just three teams in 2008-2009 and were thrilled with the tremendous growth of the program over the next decade.
We loved every minute of skills workouts, summer camps, and watching the growth of teams and individuals in the program throughout the Pioneer Elite season.
The Elite program would not have been possible without your support as well as community businesses such as Mobil on the Run. Our coaching staff was tremendous and we appreciate their commitment to teaching kids the right way to play, while giving up so much of their time. There were many coaches during our tenure, however special thanks goes to Nick Strubhar, Andy McDowell, Jason Harris, Armeake Estes, Ben Woolf, Corey Dowden, Andrew Perry, Joe Bergfeld, and Nelson Taylor who spent several seasons leading our youth.
We would like to wish new Kirkwood head coach Jimmy McKinney the very best of luck as he takes over the basketball program.
Thank you for allowing us to love and coach your kids. We will cherish those relationships for life!
